    Thirty-seven of Cincinnati's biggest broadcasting stars or most influential managers were inducted into the Greater Cincinnati Broadcast Hall of Fame from 1990 to 1993, before the Cincinnati Historical Society abandoned the project.

    Red Barber (1992) Red Barber started his National Baseball Hall of Fame career as the Cincinnati Reds radio announcer on WLW-AM and WSAI-AM for five years (1934-38).

    In 1939, he went to New York, where he broadcast for the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees, and served as CBS sports director.
