Dana Carvey is an accomplished stand-up comedian, writer and producer. Best known for his impressions on Saturday Night Live in the ‘80s and ‘90s, Carvey is also recognized for his characters in movies like The Master of Disguise and Wayne’s World.
His comedy career began when he won the San Francisco Stand-Up Comedy Competition at the age of 22. Carvey then went on to fill minor roles in the sitcom One of the Boys and the mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap in the mid-’80s, working next to future stars like Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal.
Dana Carvey found his big break in ‘86 when he was cast in the action comedy movie Tough Guys.

Carvey developed many memorable characters on SNL, including the celebrated “Church Lady.” The character is widely regarded as having brought the show back out of a slump in popularity.
